As a screenwriter, Matt was commissioned to write Any Day Now for Garage Films. He also wrote the English subtitles for the Chinese blockbuster Gone With the Bullets (Columbia Pictures/Beijing Buyilehu) by Jiang Wen.

Celebrated Chinese actor-filmmaker Jiang Wen plays a 1920s-era showman who organizes an extravagant beauty pageant in the cosmopolitan city of Shanghai.
 

"Gone with the Bullets" is Wen's much anticipated follow-up to the 2010 comedic western actioner "Let the Bullets Fly," which was one of the biggest box office hits in China's history.
